The Irish Diaspora in Canada: A History 17-27 August 2017

Ireland and Canada have long enjoyed strong and deep bonds of friendship. In this year of celebration for Canada, we are proud to commemorate the important and positive contribution that the Irish in Canada have made to the fabric of Canadian life as we know it today.

Visitors will explore the history and vibrancy of the Irish community in Canada—from the time of early European settlement, through the Irish famine emigration, to the extensive diaspora of the present day.
