Travel to the heart of Ireland with this lively quartet that is sure to raise the rafters of La Grange de la Gatineau. Let the party begin!

These four talented and energetic musicians will treat you to a range of music from Celtic to traditional Quebec music and bluegrass. The Irish Bastards are Jean-Philippe Goupil (voice, guitar, tenor banjo), Dylan Perron (banjo and voice), Lisa Demay (violin and voice) and Alexandre Veillette (mandolin, voice, guitar and podorhythm). These musicians, from different parts of Quebec, have only been playing together for a year, but they are all experienced and recognized musicians in their own right.

It's a show with an Irish flavour and especially Irish drinking songs, with influences including The Dubliners, The Pogues, The Chieftains, The Irish Rover and The Planxty. But they can't resist the rich roots of music from Quebec and America, and offer up a few home-style jigs with a tinge of bluegrass. It's all their way of getting their audience up singing and dancing and laughing – and the audience at the Grange will be no exception!
