Saint Brigid's Centre for the Arts, a few blocks from the National Gallery of Canada, Notre Dame Basilica, US Embassy, Major's Hill Park, National War Museum, Lester Pearson Building, Chateau Laurier and the Parliament - near the Byward Market and Rideau Shopping Centre - Irish Village - accessible from Hull through MacDonald Cartier Bridge. SBC is the home of the National Irish Canadian Cultural Centre (NICCC). A converted Catholic church, Saint Brigid's Centre was founded in 2007 after the church was deconsecrated by the Archdiocese and privately purchased by members of the Irish community. The NICCC are dedicated to the restoration of this heritage site and to the development of community events for the Irish constituents of Ottawa.
Saint Brigid's Centre is honoured to have facilitated a variety of artistic and cultural groups from Ottawa and around the world. From orchestras and concerts to private parties, art exhibitions, lectures and conferences, Saint Brigid's Centre is a multidisciplinary space that truly showcases the diversity of our Nation's Capital.
