[ed. THIS IS THE IRISH GIG OF THE SUMMER! DO NOT MISS! LET"S SELL IT OUT!]
Acclaimed Canadian-Irish trio 3TíR (Pierre Schryer, Dermot Byrne and Adam Dobres) plays Aug 2nd benefit concert for fire victims.
Friends:
One of the great things about the Canadian music community is its willingness to help out when one of its members is in need. Our old friend, Valley fiddler Dan Schryer, recently lost his family's house in Deep River to a fire, and his musician brother Pierre suggested that we at Old Sod should co-produce a benefit concert featuring Pierre's internationally acclaimed Celtic trio 3TíR (pronounced "three-tier"). St Brigid's Centre for the Arts has donated the venue, and our co-producers Ottawa Irish Arts and Brigid's Well are pitching in to make this event a success. Proceeds from the concert will go to help Dan and Laura rebuild their house and get life back to normal. We hope you will turn out to see what promises to be a great concert by three brilliant musicians and at the same time support a good cause.
Where: St Brigid's Centre for the Arts, 310 Saint Patrick Street, Ottawa, (access from Cumberland St) Google Maps link
When: Wed Aug 2nd 2017 at 7:30pm. Doors open at 7.
Admission: $20, $15 youth/children.
Tickets and Info: www.oldsod.ca
Please put this very special concert on your calendar and help support Dan and his family!
Thanks,
The Old Sod Crew
