Recent news from John Christopher

Hello to all of you from the shores of the North Atlantic

I was very lucky to be given the opportunity to give a concert at the newly opened Paul O'Regan Hall in Halifax's most impressive new central library recently with my recently convened world/Celtic/Newfoundland band of Gilles Losier (fiddle  and keys), Ken MacKenzie (pipes and whistles), and Jim Ferguson (percussion, drums) and me on guitar and vocals........that led to this acknowledgement.....

Halifax Magazine, Top 50 things to do for summer, coming in at #17 . . .

#17. Concert of Newfoundland: July 12
Join musician John Christopher, author of the memoir Molasses Bread and Tea at the Halifax Central Library. Concert begins at 2:00. halifaxcentrallibrary.ca

We have only recently begun performing together again after first taking Mariposa by storm in 1988 but the music only keeps getting better, .... I have now been invited to give some world music shows for the Toronto Public Library this fall for recently arrived new Canadians.

Hope to see you generally around and many thanks for your interest and support.
