Cindy Thompson is one of Canada's premiere combination fiddle player/stepdancers. She has been a guest fiddler on national television and radio, worked with Symphony Orchestras, released three independent albums and has performed across North America, achieving her life long goal of preserving traditional Canadian fiddle music. A dedicated fiddle teacher with over 25 years experience and a knowledgeable history of fiddle music that stems back to her roots, Cindy's teaching is full of spontaneity, enthusiasm, fun and musical excellence. She believes that the art of playing music is achievable for anyone and respects the skill level and individual needs of each student, finding the best approach to achieve their personal goals.www.cindythompson.ca

Ashley MacLeod is from Dalkeith, Ontario, in the county of Glengarry, a hotbed of Scottish culture in Canada. At the age of 10, Ashley literally picked up a fiddle and began playing. At age 14, she was invited to play at the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Championship as a Junior Showcase artist. Building from there, Ashley has gone on to perform her musical magic before thousands of captivated fans all over North America. She has collaborated with many outstanding musicians, including the world champion Simon Fraser University Pipe Band and Celticrock band Hadrian’s Wall. Her strathspeys, jigs and reelsvibrate with strength, and her waltzes and airs are coloured with an aura of peacefulness. It is a gift, and it flows freely to you from the heart—from the heart of Glengarry.www.ashleymacleod.com
