Irish Language , Music and Arts Workshops - Kingston, Weekend of 29 April

On the weekend of April 29, 30 and May 1: Irish Language Weekend at the Seniors' Centre - 56 Francis Street, Kingston.

As part of the weekend there will be workshops Saturday and Sunday and a dinner and ceili on Saturday Night (8 - 11:30).

The workshops are listed below.

Saturday
Singing: Lúibíní (Yolanta Kruk + Pádraig Mac Lochlainn)
Music: Traditional Jigs and Reel (Paul Legrand)
Dancing: Set Dancing (Maureen Mulvey)
Stained Glass: Paul Davison

Sunday
Singing: Sean Nós
Music: Traditional Jigs and Reel (Paul Legrand)
Dancing: Sean Nós
Bodhrán: Jack Hickman
Writing: Aoife Ní Churraoin, Gaby Monaghan

If you would like to attend the whole weekend you are more than welcome. Costs for people not requiring accommodation are $150 ($240 if you want accommodation) and that includes dinner Friday, lunch Saturday and Sunday and dinner Saturday. All classes, workshops and the ceili are included.

If you want to attend individual workshops the cost is $15, $10 for Comhaltas members

For the dinner the cost is $25; the ceili is $12 ($10 for Comhaltas members). If you would like to attend both the cost is $30. If there are any students who would like to come to the ceili the cost is still $5 ($25 for dinner and ceili).

If you are going to attend the whole weekend or the dinner Saturday we have to know by no later than April 22 to give numbers to the Seniors Centre. For the workshops and ceili just come to the Senior's Centre at the appropriate time.
