Dear Friends,

If you missed our HISPANIA ! concert last Spring, here is another opportunity to come on an enchanting musical journey with us…

This is a concert of beautifully unusual and rarely performed repertoire of Medieval and Renaissance Spain.

Soulful "Romances" of the Sephardic Jews are interwoven with songs of courtly love and tragic loss. In the second half you are invited to cross the ocean to hear a variety of rhythms of the Spanish diaspora of South America.

The performers are a blended group of Ottawa musicians with singer Sylvia Larrass, Greg Weeks on cello and tabla, Graham Lindsey on percussion and flute, and Celtic harp duo Acacia Lyra, with Janine Dudding and Susan Sweeney Hermon.

Saturday October 29, 8 pm. Westboro Masonic Hall, 430 Churchill Ave. N. at Byron.
